Why is my word in my tom drums make a rattling noise when hitting my drums?

Tom is my word not right to listen to my battery? It is completely and makes a rattling noise I hate it! How can I solve this problem?

Tuning not cause a rattle. Are you sure the word tom does not form part of the hype? It is very easy for the lower edge of the floor tom to come into contact with one of the tuners on the mass of the head of the drum.
